Konsta Sirvio, M.Sc. (Tech.), M.Soc.Sc., will defend the dissertation "Advances in predictive maintenance planning of roads by empirical models" on 2 October 2017 at 12 noon in Aalto University School of Science, lecture hall H304, Otakaari 1, Espoo. In the dissertation, an approach and phases were presented for predictive maintenance planning of roads. Several machine learning methods were applied and compared for road condition forecasting and maintenance work optimisation.
