Information about the site
The Department of Computer Science website was revamped in 2015.
Feedback, questions and proposed changes for the cs.aalto.fi website can be sent via the feedback form at the bottom of the page or by e-mail to tiina.aulanko-jokirinne [at] aalto [dot] fi.
The visual appearance of the site has been planned by TBWA\Helsinki. The technical implementation is by Anders Innovations. The Midgard content management system was used to create the site.
The structure of the site
The site consists of main sections that can be accessed via the menu on the left side of the page.
At the top of every page are links to the schools’ web services and contact information, as well as a search field.
At the bottom of each page are links to the site map, the unit in charge of the page, the print function, the feedback form and “About this site”.
Cs.aalto.fi is designed to operate responsively, on both normal-sized screens, and mobile devices (smartphones and tablet computers).
Copyright, responsibility and processing of personal information
Aalto University holds the rights to the material to be published on the site, in accordance with the Copyright Act and subsequent amendments. Aalto University is protected as the trademark of the Aalto University Foundation. All rights are reserved.
The internet address of Aalto University also contains web pages of the university's students, personnel or communities that are formed by them. The content of the pages is the responsibility of the person indicated as the administrator, with access to the university's network.
Aalto University is not responsible for damage that may be caused by possible errors in the content of the website. The university is not responsible for harm caused by a technical malfunction or by material linked to the website, which is published by an outside party.
No personal information is collected about the users of the management.aalto.fi pages. E-mail addresses and other contact information will be asked only if the user wants a response to a question or feedback.
Statistical information about page usage will be collected to help develop the site. The pages send out a cookie so that the number of users and the number of their visits can be ascertained. Statistics will be kept on the number of users, the country where they are located, the time of use, and the browser that was used, as well as the content of the pages that the user visited.
