Teemu Sirkiä, M.Sc.(Tech.), will defend the dissertation "Creating, Tailoring, and Distributing Program Animations – Supporting the Production Process of Interactive Learning Content" on 22 September 2017 at 12 noon at the Aalto University School of Science, lecture hall T2, Konemiehentie 2, Espoo. In the dissertation, we analyzed how students use interactive learning content in a programming course. Students voluntarily used the program animations created with new technical means presented in the dissertation, which indicates the usefulness of the new content. We have preliminary results that the use of the animations can be enhanced by adding explanatory annotations based on the pedagogical context of the animation.
