TrafficSense is a research project of the Aalto University. During the project, a TrafficSense system including a smartphone application was developed. The system collects data of mobility behavior, detects the mode of transport, attempts to predict the next route and gives notifications relevant to the user (e.g. incidents). During spring 2017 a pilot study was organized with the staff and students of the Aalto University.
In autumn 2017 a new project (Perille asti / Last mile) is starting and TrafficSense will be used to evaluate the impact of new mobility services on traveling behavior. Also, other new activities are prepared.
The goal of the seminar is to provide a summary of the results of the TrafficSense project and to discuss the future possibilities (in regard of measuring, modeling and predicting traveling behavior as well as in developing new mobility services).
The seminar is part of national campaign "Energiansäästöviikko" (Energy saving week).
The seminar consists of short (10-15 minutes) talks. Time will be allocated also for discussion including future possibilities.
