HICT, the Helsinki Doctoral Education Network in Information and Communications Technology, organizes a science communication workshop for HICT doctoral students and researchers in Aalto University and the University of Helsinki. The workshop is sponsored by HIIT.
Kaskas Media is a Finnish company specialised in science communication training for researchers. HICT’s 1-day workshop will cover a set of topics focusing especially on pitching and presentation skills. The training builds around one small pre-assignment, teaching sessions, and tasks that the students will complete together with two coaches from Kaskas Media.
Workshop contents
The workshop comprises two 3-hour sessions, and students will be credited 1 ECTS if they complete both sessions. Note! Participants will also be expected to present their research pitch in public at a further HICT or HIIT event. The detailed programme will be announced at the workshop webpage.
