Tietojenkäsittelytieteen päivät / Symposium on CS in Finland
The event is organized by the Finnish Society for Computer Science, the CS departments of the University of Helsinki and Aalto University, and the Helsinki Institute for Information Technology.
This year the theme is "Data Science & AI." Do we need data science and what is its relationship to AI? Where is the AI research going at the moment, and where after the next 10 and 20 years? The symposium seeks answers to these questions, among others. The program is accessible to a general CS audience - you need not be an AI expert.
The program also includes traditional award sessions. The first day (Aug 31) we join the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the CS department of the University of Helsinki, which also include a scientific program.
See the event web page.
