The event is facilitated by M.Sc. Juha Törmänen from CMI and Doctoral student Tuomas Lahtinen. The event is held in English.

  • In this workshop we will practice decision analysis based on conflict analysis tools that CMI uses regularly in its operations. No prerequisites.
  • Crisis Management Initiative (CMI) is a Finnish non-governmental organization founded by Nobel laureate Martti Ahtisaari. CMI works to build a peaceful world by preventing and resolving violent conflicts and supporting sustainable peace across the globe.
  • The cutting edge analysis methods are broadly relevant also for many other contexts including: risk analysis, foresight, negotiation and management planning.
  • The following elements of the analysis toolkit will be practiced: Trend identification, data collection, visualization and root-cause analysis. We will use these tools to analyse trends that have potential to cause negative impacts on the development of Finland.
