A CS Forum Talk: An Overview of Research in the Maryland DSPCAD Research Group
Speaker: Prof. Shuvra S. Bhattacharyya - University of Maryland, currently Finland Distinguished Professor in Tampere
Place: Lecture hall T2, CS Building
In this talk, Prof. Shuvra S. Bhattacharyya will present an overview of research in the Maryland DSPCAD Research Group ("DSPCAD Group"). The DSPCAD Group focuses on computer‐aided design (CAD) and implementation of digital signal processing (DSP) systems, with applications to various areas in computer vision, cyber-physical systems, electronic instrumentation, and wireless communications. The long‐term goal of this research is to improve the productivity of designing and integrating signal processing systems, as well as the reliability, predictability, and efficiency of signal processing implementations.
Prof. Shuvra S. Bhattacharyya has previously held industrial positions as a Researcher at the Hitachi America Semiconductor Research Laboratory (San Jose, California), and Compiler Developer at Kuck & Associates (Champaign, Illinois). He has held a visiting research position at the US Air Force Research Laboratory (Rome, New York). He is a Fellow of the IEEE.
