Postdoctoral Researcher in Empirical Software Engineering

The Department of Computer Science at the Aalto University School of Science is presently looking for a
Postdoctoral Researcher in Empirical Software Engineering
The position belongs to the Aalto career system and the selected person will be appointed for a two-year fixed term appointment, with an option for renewal based on performance.
We are looking for a person with a PhD degree in software engineering, and a track record of high-quality research conducted in collaboration with industry. The postdoc position is related to the study of agile method implementation and usage in large organizations and projects, both in industry and the public sector.
Responsibilities
In addition to research, our new Postdoctoral Researcher gets to participate in the supervision of students and teaching following the standard practices at the department.
Qualifications
The candidate should have a Ph.D. and a good publication track record in empirical software engineering. Good command of English is necessary, and knowledge of Finnish is a plus.
Compensation, working hours and place of work
The salary for the position is between 3 533 and 3 710 EUR per month depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to the salary, the contract includes occupational health benefits, and Finland has a comprehensive social security system. The annual total workload of teaching staff at Aalto University is 1 624 hours. The position is located at the Aalto University Otaniemi campus.
