Postdoctoral Researcher Positions

To promote its ambitious research agenda, the department is constantly seeking postdoctoral researchers in the fields of the Department's research groups (see up-to-date list of research groups).

In addition to research work postdoctoral researcher is to participate to the supervision of students and teaching related to the applicant's research topics. The contract period is usually for two years. The salary level for a starting postdoctoral researcher at the department is typically between 3400 and 3600 euros per month, depending on experience and qualifications. The contract includes occupational health services and Finland has a comprehensive social security system.

Candidates may be invited for an interview in Espoo. In the review process, particular emphasis is put on the quality of the candidate's previous research and international experience. The candidate must have completed his or her PhD degree before the start of the contract period, and efficient and successful completion of studies is considered an additional merit. Good command of English is a necessary prerequisite. There is no deadline for the submission of applications.
